Lake Kariba Fisherman (Folktale)

Once upon a Time in Kariba, 4 friends decided to go fishing on Lake Kariba with their boat and nets.

While they where busy with their nets, they saw in a distant a wooden raft floating on the water with a woman laying on top.

They reached out to her and removed her from the wooden raft and put her in their boat. She was looking really tired and exhausted.

One of the guys gave her his shirt to cover herself so she could feel warm, then they all left fishing and went ashore. The guys could not resist looking at the gorgeous looking woman.

They gave her food introduced themselves to the pretty girl. She said her name was Susan from Mahombe Kombe.

She was so pretty no man could resist her. What a beauty she was under the radiance of the setting sun.

She liked coconut fruits and decided to climb a tree to get some for herself and for her new friends. The guys were enjoying the view from below, she was not like any of the girls in Kariba. She was perfect in every way.

Later in the evening she started preparing dinner with the help of 1 of the guys, while others where relaxing. She was so amazing at everything she did.

After dinner they all stared to drink chibuku Supa and wines ,dancing to sweet music from Exque and Tocky Vibes Wakatemba.Susan had some call dance moves to enlighten the moment.

After a good hard partying, something immortally dramatic happened when the guys all went to sleep

Susan the beauty queen changed into an sexy underworld creature as she walked back into the Lake.

She walked into the Lake under the glare of the full moon.Moments later, she dragged an amazing object from beneath the Lake. What was it?

The next morning the fishermen noticed their princess was gone. They also saw a big chest that was dragged ashore.

Curious, they opened this chest and to their surprise, it was full of treasure they had never seen before. They looked around in wonder and saw Susan waving at a distance. They were really shocked to find out that Susan was a mermaid but excited at what they were presented with.

Looking in amazement they waved back as their beauty queen swam off into the waters. They never set their eyes on her ever again.
