Christmas Safety

Just a few questions for you to answer this Christmas season:

1. Do you have to  drive at 130-150 km/h?
2. Why do you want to travel at night? Can't you leave earlier so that you arrive before sunset?
3. Does the whole family have to be travelling on the same vehicle - the 8 of you?
4. Your vehicle is overloaded - driver, passengers, groceries, other luggage. I know fuel is a problem but do you have to try and carry EVERYTHING on this trip?
5. What's the condition of your tyres; your brakes; your lights; your suspension?
6. Do you have a spare wheel? Is it in a good state or repair? Inflated?
7. Check your oil and water.
8. Where is your break down triangle? And reflective vest?
9. When was your fire extinguisher last serviced?🧯
10. Do you have a jack that works for your vehicle?
11. Do you have a basic First Aid kit in your car? 🚑
12. Have you secured enough fuel to see you there and back (in metal containers 🛢 not those plastic things!) ⛽
13. Are you licenced to drive that class of vehicle?
14. Finally, who is staying behind to take care of your home while you are away? 🦹🏾‍♂
