To get the NMB Bank Visa card you need to have an account with NMB Bank.

I need to open a personal account, what are my options?

NMB Bank is currently offering an NMBLite account, NMB Current account as well as an NMBSave account, all tailored to suit the unique needs of our customers.
Requirements for opening an NMBLite Account

  • Copy of national I.D., driver’s licence or valid passport
  • Proof of residence e.g. ZESA, TelOne, Municipality bill or Affidavit signed by ZRP
  • Two passport sized photos
  • Initial deposit of $5
  • The account does not accrue monthly charges if transactions do not exceed $300 within a calendar month. If they exceed $300 a charge of $5 will be levied in that month.
Requirements for opening a personal Current Account
  • Proof of residence e.g. ZESA, TelOne, Municipality bill or Affidavit signed by ZRP
  • Copy of national I.D., driver’s licence or valid passport
  • Two passport sized photos
  • Copy of current payslip 
  • Initial deposit of $20
Requirements for opening a Savings Account
  • Proof of residence e.g. ZESA, TelOne, Municipality bill or Affidavit signed by ZRP
  • Copy of national I.D., driver’s licence or valid passport
  • Two passport sized photos
  • Copy of current payslip 
  • Initial deposit of $100
Additional Services to account holders
  • Free enrolment for SMS Alerts, each alert costs $0.03
  • Free enrolment for e-Statements which can be received daily, weekly or monthly on customers email at no extra charge
  • Free enrolment for Mobile Banking and Ecocash Services (specific transaction fees will apply)
  • Free enrolment for Internet Banking (specific transaction fees will apply)
GETTING THE VISA CARD

I want a VISA card that makes online payments. What are my options?

 You can apply for an NMB Visa Prefunded card that you load with cash in forex for you to be able to use when outside of Zimbabwe or Online.  The pre-funded card production takes two weeks.  If you already have an account with us download the application form here and submit to your nearest branch. If not you will need to open an account that will be linked to the card.
The requirements needed for the account to be opened are :

  • Copy of ID/ Passport
  • 2 passport sized photos
  • Poof of residence / Affidavit
  • Current payslip
  • Confirmation of employment
  • $40.00 in your account for the card production fee.
Please be advised that the daily transnational limits on the Prefunded card after the cash deposit are as follows: 

 Cash withdrawal                              $1 000.00 daily
POS/ Online payments                    $5 000.00 daily
The following transaction fees will apply for each card transaction: 


 POS Purchase and Online 1.75% of the amount + $1.25
Branch Cash Withdrawal  1.85% of the amount + $4.50
ATM Withdrawal  2% of the amount  + $3.00
Declined transaction $0.50.
