    1. they are of the origin of chief tangwena from mutare . most of the people in zim came down from mozambique during the great migration from up congo. thus my totem but as you have discovered we have now spread like every other totem due to family fights,employment opportunities, and other reason for people leaving their homes including war.

  6. Nhewa ndivo vakadzi and varume tinovati Simboti. Mhuka yacho it's Leopard kwete cheetah . Originally from Sena in Mozambique and we settled in Nyanga along Kaerezi river. Tangwena being one of our chief forefather . That's our first settlement. We are so popular in Nyanga and Rusape areas. Mutupo usina tsawu.

    1. Rekayi Tangwena is my great grand father. We are Nhewa Simboti, originally from Nyanga, but settled in Honde Valley. Nhewa Simboti is a Leopard, royalty!

    3. It is because we migrated from Nyanga due to family issues. You find Chidumba and Tekeshe surnames, Chidumba is another name for Tagwena and Tekeshe is a nickname taken from an ancestor...

    4. I also came from Murewa under chief mangwendeGoto Village. Marozva ndoSurname. Some of us are in Murewa with the surname Marozva where we have a village not surely now who is heading it.

Simboti haina mupatsa Varume ndiwo vana Simboti kana kuti ana Tsoka ...chikatsa madzimai vari vana Nhewa ...you fìnd most of these people in Manicaland ...Nyanga area and more of them migrated to Rusape were we have a lot more surnames natabily the Toriros,Muori,Tega,Matewa,Toto,Dzuda,Tsoka to mention but a few and during the second chimurenga when the Tangwena were bombed ...the kids were being taken care of by the late (May his Soul Rest in Peace) Cde Steven Matewa in Rusape near Ruwombwe Mountain.

He said he walked from there until je settled in Kadoma as a young man around 1960s and moved to Harare in 1973. He was always talking about his other brothers.   28. Am Simboti. We settled in Rusape , Toriro village. Muwori ndiro zita rasekuru vedu patakabva from Nyanga. Our forefathers are from Tangwena in Nyanga. Sekuru who migrated and last used Tangwena surname vainzi Abraham Tangwena. But we now many as Toriro, Muwori , Tega , Dzuda , Toto , Tawonezvi , Munda , Matewa among many others have become villages among themselves. Am told we came to Makoni after Chief Makoni married one of our Tete. I have met many Simbotis from Nyanga and Honde among other areas. We are one and all from Mozambique kuSena

    1. The Zimbizi family in Njanja came from Mozambique. They were 3 of them, 2 brothers and a sister. One of the brothers who adopted the name Hokonya settled in Malware in Chivu and the sister got married to the in Jeche family in Hwedza

I am a simboti from Uzumba, sekuru vangu vaigaro nditi muzukuru tiri Mascan maSena takabva nepaMoza.The history that I know is ana a sekuru vakabva nekuInyanga (vaShoko) for some u known reasons kwakurnda kwaRusape. Kwakuzobva keaRusape vachienda kwaMusami(vaMudzvatangi ne mwana wavo Mubaiwa, Mutandwa,,Svinurai, Alfonse valanogara munzvimbo yaNyekete. Mubaiwa kwakuzobva would kwaMusami achienda Uzumba kwatava kuti ndiko kumusha. At least that's the history I got to know of where we came from.   73. Soko Simboti Mudyanevana. Soko yekwaNyika. Varume Simboti Mudyanevana, vakadzi aNyika/MaNcube - Nyika dynasty. Chief Nyika of Mondoro Ngezi. The Ncube from Matonjeni who assumed Soko Simboti Mudyanevana totem after settling in Mhondoro. 6th generation a few still surviving. Anyone linked to this pls tibatane.
