    1. Meso anenge embiti - big brown eyes that tell them so!
Nhuka haisi nhuta. - Nhuka is the largest antelope on earth. Very close to mhofu but larger and more elegant. Only ever saw these in the Chimanimani estates. Nhuka is the elite yeNzou after emperor Nyatsimba Mutota adopted the totem in line with the growth he had on his forehead and nhuka ine magu pahuma

    3. Truth is that when the migration from Great Zimbabwe (now ruins) to the north to control the salt mines and farm the fertile Mashonaland the 1st Monomotapa Mutota who conquered the Tavaras and gave them the totem of the pig (Makombe) and took the totem of the largest animal around - the elephant. He was very good to the captives and refused to sell them for slaves and was proud that he was mwene wevatapwa from which the tiltle Monomotapa was derived. Legend says he had a wasp nest on his forehead, but I rather believe that he had a growth on his forehead. His subject started adddressing him as Nhuka the largest eland sub species that had a wasp nest on the forehead/horns. That is why he then adopted that totem for the royal family. The rest is history, but that is why Nhuka iri Nyamasvisva/Nzou as well. Those who are jealous of this history distort and give origin to the heroes Bire na Ganyire, who like Kunzvi at the turn of the 19th century was a hero but not founder of the tribe

    4. My son did some research into the origins of our totem and relied significantly on the detailed research of the late Dr Aeneas Chigwedere, called Madzinza. You can uplift it for a small fee in Play Store.
All Bantu people migrated from Egypt and the Great Lakes region, based on authentic documentation, records from Empires, Kingdoms and writings/ observations by people who recorded their interactions with us over centuries.
Everone will tell you they came from Guruuswa, Tanzania, because we were largely the same people with some variations. Yes we are called vaZungu veDande allegedly because we were light in complexion and allegedly were Lemba or Jewish. Some vehemently claim that the Lemba were Arabs of Abrahamic origin who took to Islam. But we do not have the circumcision practices of the Lemba people in Zimbabwe and South Africa.
We are certainly Nzou because we are a split from the Nzou Samanyanga Clan.
There are lots of interactions between us and the other totems. Lots of the totems are derivatives from the original Mbire people.

  14. I like my totem so much. Nyamasvisva. My late grandfather clearly explained to me that the animal mentioned on this stanza "Maita Nhuka,
Mombe isina muusi" is the answer. Nhuka was a large antelope found in Mavhuradonha-Dande-Tete area. It was rarely seen hence it's extinction "Vane mhuka isingaoneki," and I also come from Dande Makorekore "Maita muTsunga weDande", "VaZungu veDande', "Maita vaChihoro Makorekore".

ndakazoti ndaakushanda that is when I met ana Nyamasvisva from Midlands vanoti vanoera nzou. I don't know their explanations but for me I need no further study or explanations. PROUDLY NYAMASVISVA

  18. The clan is lost, because originally the Nyandoro are of Lemba, they came from Israel today, they came through Ethiopia today all the way into Eastern Zim today and a lot happened,we don't have a totem, we are not Southernas. What we need to know is how did our forefathers came here. I'm also like I landed here in Venda, northern South Africa. Our question need to be how we got here. We don't have the animal we thinking we have in our minds that never existed. Our forefathers wanted to have a belonging, the truth is we are from North East Africa, but how did we got here, let's find out the truth, it will be a treasure for our kids. How did we get.
